EXCURSION, 1 DAY
The boat trip takes us on the
Mekong River giving us a chance to explore the tranquil
countryside and the riverine life. After two hour cruise
upstream we arrive at Pak Ou where the famous Tam Ting Cave
houses thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various
shapes and sizes, all brought there by devoted villages. Along
the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai where they
make potent rice wine. The trip ends after arrival in Luang
Prabang. (L)
