The Nam Ha River awaits the kayakers and rafters with numerous exciting 2 to 3 grade rapids, while passing through forests that are still home to endangered large mammals such as Tiger, Leopard and Sun Bear. Many bird species and - with a portion of luck - the occasional rare animal or its tracks can be spotted on the riverbanks.

Day 1:
The day of paddling takes you through the thick, in parts old-growth forest of the Nam Ha NPA. A picnic lunch and a refreshing swim mark mid-day. The first day ends in the Khmu village of Ban Nalan. A traditional Lao dinner is prepared and you spend the night in a Khmu style house.

Day 2:
The valley of the Nam Ha River widens before reaching the Lanten village Ban Nam Khoy. In the afternoon, the river features a number of swift rapids before arriving at the confluence of the Nam Ha and Nam Tha Rivers.
The night is spent in the nearby Khmu village of Ban Sop Sim Noy.

Day 3:
The third day is spent on the Nam Tha River, which flows through a more densely populated and cultivated landscape. Upon reaching Ban Hat Nalaeng, the group is met by a pick-up for transport back to Luang Namtha.
