Detail Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL - BANGKOK
On arrival at Don Muang Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. The glorious history of Thai Capital, Bangkok is much interwoven with the Chakri dynasty which still reigns but no longer rules Thailand. In the midst of dynamic modern growth, this bustling metropolis still preserves plenty of cultural heritages making it the national treasure house. No activities planned for this afternoon , however our guide is on hand to advise some available options. O/N in Bangkok.

DAY 2: BANGKOK
Today we commence our tour of Bangkok with a longtail boat trip along the Chao Phraya River and the many lively inner canals which offer some fantastic views of the local life close up. Along the way we make stopover at Wat Arum, the temple of Dawn, before continuing to the Grand Palace, dedicated to the Thai Royal Family's ceremony. Nearby is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image. After seeing this complex we drive through the many vibrant streets of China Town to some of the most significant temples in Bangkok. The landmark of Wat Traimit is well known as the Golden Buddha Temple while Wat Po houses a gigantic Reclining Buddha. We visit these sights as well as the magnificent Marble Temple. O/N in Bangkok. (B,L)

DAY 3: BANGKOK - RIVER OF KWAI - CHA AM
The southbound journey begins as we depart Bangkok and drive through the picturesque countryside to Kanchanaburi. This enchanting town has plenty to see, some of which are the famous bridge over the River Kwai , the sobering War Cemetery and the Jeath War Museum. After seeing these sights we continue travelling south towards the beach resort town of Cha Am. Along the way we break our trip in Petchburi to stretch our legs and visit the sacred Khao Luang Cave that houses numerous Buddha statues and the hill summer palace of Mongkut King. O/N in Cha Am. (B)

DAY 4: CHA AM - RANONG
In contrast to Pattaya, the beautiful beaches of Cha Am and Hua Hin lack the modern tempo of an international playground and instead offered an enjoyable escape. We visit the famous wooden teak palace of Marukatayawan this morning, before we depart for Prachuap Khiri Khan. This seaside province had a glorious past during the Ayutthaya period. On arrival we explore Khao Chong Krajok on an idyllic bay surrounded by impressive peaks and climb 398 steps to a hillside small pagoda for some fantastic views over this quiet fishing town. The journey continues to Ranong, passing the spectacular rural landscape and the many villages. O/N in Ranong. (B)

DAY 5: RANONG - KHAO SOK NATIONAL PARK
Upon leaving the town we set off on a scenic drive to Khao Sok National Park, where you find some of the best remaining rainforest in Thailand. The park covers an area of 646 square kilometres and has an ecosystem. After checking into a simple floating bungalow we spend an afternoon on a boat navigating around Cheo Larn Lake, which was created by the construction of the Rachabrapah Dam. This exciting boat excursion is passing the spectacular scene of limestone cliffs rising from the lake shores as well as islands dotting the reservoir. The remainder of the day is free for your leisurely swim or walk along the lakeside. O/N in Cheo Larn. (B)

DAY 6: KHAO SOK - KHAO LAK
The beautiful national park of Khao Sok is home to a wide array of wildlife including leopard, serow, elephant, banteng, gaur, dusky langur, tiger, gibbons , however most of these species are nocturnal. The rich variety of birth life is also remarkable since over 165 species have been recorded in this region. After an early morning breakfast in the exotic sounds of the jungle we enjoy a full day exploring the park with an experienced local guide. The majority of trails follow picturesque riverways beneath a cover of native rainforest therefore our walk may involve some river crossings. At the end of our walk we enjoy a refreshing swim at a small waterfall located within the park before we board a vehicle for two hour drive to Khao Lak, our final destination. O/N in Khao Lak. (B,L)

DAY 7: KHAO LAK - AONANG ( Krabi)
Heading out of the town we make our way to Krabi, a famous beach resort destination in Thailand. This coastal town has a string of offshore islands and wonderful sandy beaches. A part of the pleasure of trevelling through this region is a simple joy of seeing the tropical landscape and meeting the local people. After checking into hotel in Aonang you can soak up as much sea and sun as you want by spending time on the turquoise water or lazing on a beach. The usual water sports such as surfing and snorkelling are also available, however our guide is on hand to advise information about these optional activities. O/N in Aonang. (B)

DAY 8: AONANG
This morning we board a longtail boat for a day cruise, exploring some of the many beautiful coastal islands. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim at Poda Island, which is surrounded by the crystal blue water, home to various species of colorful fishes. Our next stop is Talu Island , famous for being the house of swallow's bird nests that are popularly used to make a delicacy of Chinese food. This island is about 45 meters in height, and is centrally perforated by a 30-meters hole, thus giving it a lovely name Talu. After feasting on a seafood lunch at Kai Island we continue onward to Tap Island and also visit Phang Nang Cave, which is endowed with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. O/N in Aonang. (B,L)

DAY 9: KRABI - PHANG NGA - PHUKET
Today we depart for Phang Nga Province, stopping en route to visit Tharn Bokkorani National Park and Suwan Ku Ha Cave. On arrival in Phang Nga Bay we embark on a boat for a leisurely trip past the famous mangrove eco-system areas and magnificent sheer islands jutting out from the emerald water. Along the way we pass the well known James Bond. This famous landmark first found its way onto the international map through its starring role in the James Bond movie "The Man With the Golden Gun". The next stop of our trip is Koh Pannyi, a remarkable village which is home to the muslin communities. Their houses on stilts have been built over water and the rear of structure is guarded by a giant rock monolith. Afterwards we travel by roads to Phukhet and complete our overland expedition. O/N in Phuket. (B,L)
